Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyy

Amusing myself with some webcam shots as I realize I haven't blogged today, and running through my head thinking of today's events.  Nothing too eventful, but good overall, productive, happy to be home, and so looking forward to a good nights sleep.

Tomorrow is full of celebrations, a new baby boy is having his ceremony in the morning, then mother's day celebration at my children's school.  I have one pilates class to teach, and then helping out at their school for the afternoon. Happy that tomorrow night I am free, to just enjoy time with my husband.

I am coming from teaching a Prenatal Yoga class, I get such pleasure being around pregnant mommies and helping them feel as good as possible.  First time moms trying to wrap their head around the whole amazing process, and mom's that are doing it again appreciating taking care of themselves and feeling good.

Feeling Good is Important,
Bodily Functions Should Be Pleasant,
If they are not something is wrong,
Even birth is a healthy elimination,
Our bodies know exactly what to do,
The baby knows exactly what to do,
Thank God,
Be Present Pregnant Mommies in Labor,
I admire all the mommies that bring so many beautiful children to light up this world,
God Bless You,
Lean on your sisters,
Lean on your community,
We are here for you,

Happy Birthday Israel

As Jewish people all over the world are celebrating their homeland, there are scary assignments being given to students in our wonderful United States of America, California to be exact.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/alif-school-district-nixes-holocaust-denial-essay-article-1.1781046

When people start questioning if history actually happened, especially when survivors will not be around one day, my mind is boggled and sad.  Even when horrors happen, the goal is to learn and thrive, which is what many survivors have done and I am so inspired by it.  Happy Birthday Israel, Thank God for you, all Jewish people have a home, although we are spread throughout the world.

Today was a day of, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachypsychia, apparently I have a neurological condition where my brain thinks time is not moving or moving slower.  This cracked me up, from this morning I had a few places to be with not a lot of time to get there, getting kids ready for school, then driving across town, but somehow every time I looked at the clock it just moved super slow, hmmm.

Had three great classes today, and now one just got cancelled and I am happy to be home just relaxing.  I really do appreciate the go with the flow of my life, allowing, and being aware of all these amazing connections I am making.  One of them is leading to an awesome place for my baby to go to school, I am so happy, but I will miss him, he is just such a sweet, loving, happy, wonderful, fun soul.

Today is Tuesday, and when I was parking this morning in front of one of my classes, I was sure it was Monday for some reason, and didn't park on the Monday side, but parked on the Tuesday side and was so happy I was paying attention.  My class was at 9am, the street cleaning was from 10am-1pm, and I realized it halfway into class that I was subbing on a Tuesday, that it was Tuesday.  Luckily I always finish five minutes early, and I told the class to rest as long as they need to, but I had to run and move my car.  All I can do is be honest, non stop mom with three kids 5 and under, and a Yoga teacher with her head in the clouds, and always in my positive, happy space.  Thank God reality woke me up from my daze, and I did not get a ticket, OY!

All I can do is shake my head, laugh, be happy I caught it, and move on.  It would help if I would pay a little more attention, but then again it would also help if I could start sleeping all night without interruptions.  As I remind myself every day, these are good problems.  Thank God for our first world problems, all we can be is grateful for it all, why be grouchy, why be sad, why feel blue?  I will stick with my neurological condition of unwavering positivity and sometimes airheadedness.

Silliness is a lost art,
Luckily kids bring it out in their parents,
or at least we hope they do,

I Love Second

Just got home, just taught three classes, I feel so energized when I teach, but it has been a long day and I am done.  Trying to take a picture of my mood, just done, tired, ready to end my day, but my brain is not ready to turn off yet.  I am going to make myself some tea, and write and then hopefully it will turn off.  Last night was the first time in a long time that it was hard for me to go to sleep, every noise was irking me, usually I lay down on my pillow and I am out quick.

It is interesting how for my kids personalities their birth order and gender really works.  My oldest loves to be the biggest, tallest, fastest and older than everyone, and he loves to be first.  My daughter is a tough cookie, but because my son loves to be first, she really loves to be second, she tells me she loves second. My baby just goes along with their shenanigans, but he is really clear about what he wants as well, maybe he will tell me that he loves third.  He is the baby of the family, he is all of our baby, and he gets a lot of love and help from everyone.  My daughter is the center, she is the diva, princess, and the boss.  My oldest is the best big brother, helper, wonderful to his siblings, always helps his mama, God Bless All Of Them. AMEN!

I love to listen to their language and grammar, recently my daughter says "brokened," instead of broken and it cracks me up.  There are so many fun words, I really should write them all down.

Busy day tomorrow, I love being busy, I love when the kids are busy, when we are all home together it is an intense collision of strong personalities, hopefully we will all just "use our words," and keep communicating for the rest of our lives.

So many of the wonderful women in my community having babies, wishing the new babies a big welcome and health, and wishing the babies in the belly and the mommies as good as nine months as it could be, oh yeah its really ten months.

Good Producers This Amazing Community,
Thank God,
Happy Birthday Israel,
Also remembering soldiers that have given their life for their land and their people,
It is really scary how anti-semitism keeps on popping up and in the most subtle but scary ways,
Check out this popular cartoon at 4 minutes and 19 seconds,
A friend was saying how when she heard "gas chamber," in this cartoon as a kid she thought it was funny,
She though it was about farting, and her teacher was horrified,

Beware of the messages surrounding us in our everyday lives,

My Thoughts keep having tangents,
It has been a very powerful week of Holocaust rememberance to the Birthday of Israel,

Energy Out - Energy In

I am in a space in my life where I am keenly aware that I am exactly where I need to be, and there is really nothing else to be done.  Of course there is always something to be done, but the to do list does not overwhelm me anymore.  All I can do is set in motion what needs to happen, and I know for a fact, with complete trust that things will work out as they should.

Today was a successful shoe day, we went in the morning and got sandals for the kids, comfortable shoes for my husband and I, and even a few awesome heels for me from our favorite store, DB Shoes, brand names at amazing prices, they are all over Los Angeles.  Then I went to a running store, a friend of mine and I are planning to run together and I am really wanting to do it right.  I have no desire to run a marathon, I do not love running, but I figure if I do it with a friend, it will get me moving, other cardio has just not worked, and with the right shoes, I will support my body and finally get those calories to move.  I have been to every practitioner and all I hear is I am healthy, my hormones are healthy, my bones and muscles are healthy, my nutrition is healthy, my energy and mind are healthy, but the scale does not move.  Honestly I don't go crazy about it, but I really just want to fit into my clothes like I used to, I like to wear form fitting sexy clothes, I do not want to be asked if I am pregnant again because I don't plan on it.  I am looking forward to my running adventure, I did take an awesome workout last summer that was all about proper running form, and that makes it exciting for me, I love form and alignment, it is universal.  No matter who you are or what you are doing, form and alignment are necessary for good posture, results, and success in your workout or sport with no injuries.

There is really no perfect workout or way of eating, it is all individual, you find what fits you, but what must be in everything is form, alignment, and core.  I just came back from teaching an amazing Yoga class, and I was telling them about a pose called the locust.  My Yoga teacher was saying that that pose touches so deep inside the pelvic floor that no needle or finger can touch, I find this so powerful.  I was with a group of students that were really focused and sharing their energy.  When I teach I feel so good transferring my energy and flow, and get their vibes in return.  I was just having a conversation with an amazing therapist in our community and we were talking about how using our gifts is so important, but also not depleting ourselves, no overdoing.

Where do I get depleted? Motherhood.  To those of you that feel recharged, whole, and full of love and blessings, God Bless You.  For me it is work, work, work, negotiation, debate, and total energy drain. It is all definitely worth it, I will not miss the baby years, I cannot wait to have an adult relationship with my children.

But I will take my own advice,
BE PRESENT,
They make them so cute so we can deal,
Thank God,
Coach Yulia

YA-YOU

My husband took our yummy baby to play at a mall nearby, love his little head compared to the big watermelon.  Ya-You is how he says I love you, and of course I think it is the sweetest words in the world, he is just such a pleasure.  My kids were playing amazing pretend games today.  I love that we have a day without TV, computers, phones, or any other distractions, no where to go, just home hanging out for most of the day.  We have a kids tool set, there is a drill, they were pretending to be robots and to drill screws into each other, and they talked and moved like robots.

Later on they pretended to be super snakes, before they were always lions or cheetahs, and the super snakes started from pure imagination.  There is this child's game, it is like a puzzle, and once you put the puzzle pieces together they look like shoes with areas to put laces.  Just like everything else my kids like to take everything apart and create a completely new game out of it.  So somehow these laces became super snakes.  Just like playing house, the super snakes have beds, and they go out to play, they live in a house made of blankets and pillows under a loft bed.

For me it is pure pleasure to see what comes out of their creative minds.  My baby plays along in his own way, lately he wants to be a kitty so he crawls around on all fours and meows.  Maybe because over Passover we were house sitting for a cat, but he did it even before that.

I love after a day of rest feeling the need to be productive and get organized and get things done.  It is hard to believe we are almost done with the kids school year, so we are figuring out the summer, and the following school year.

Never ending joy ride with kids,
Sometimes a thrill,
Sometimes you want to jump off,
Definitely the ride of your life,
I am glad I had to right place, right time experience to be able to be on this ride called motherhood,
I will have a big party when my littlest is out of diapers, and when he is sleeping as good as my other two,
But as they say, one thing passes and the other begins,
It is never boring,
Woo Hoo!

Each Day is a Fresh Start

As adults we may agree and we may disagree, whether we choose to go on with our day and not let it live rent free in our brain is completely up to each individual.  Forgiveness, letting go, and trusting that everything is for the good and a learning experience is what works for me.

Yesterday I blogged about how no matter what our kids deserve our love physically and verbally 24/7.  Of course last night there was not a "using your words," kind of night, but a whining, crying, and not being nice to mommy kind of night.  This morning I reminded the kids how the behavior last night was not OK, but once again, each day is a fresh start, we cannot hold grudges with our kids.  We have to be the example, although it is not easy, we cannot walk away, we cannot say get out of here, I am not your friend anymore!

Such is life, strong personalities colliding in positive and challenging ways every day.  We can choose to surround ourselves with wonderful, positive people.  However it is up to parents to raise wonderful, positive people.  Not so easy to look in the mirror, let go of the ego, and really look at ourselves.  What are we projecting to our children?

Lifelong Journey My Friends,
As Happy as I am to the world,
When my buttons are pushed,
Watch Out!
All Good,
It's what makes us spicy,

Unique,
Fabulous,

Shabbat Shalom,

Pour Your Love On Your Kids

It occured to me the other day of how we get a unique opportunity to pour our love onto our children and never turn off the faucet.  With everybody else such as parents, siblings, friends, teachers, and significant others, the other party may not be in the mood or there may be something going that may have either you or them holding back.

Not to say that our children don't have moods or state their needs clearly, but I feel as a parent it is our duty to flood them with unconditional love, and specifically physical hugs and kisses and words of encouragement, declaration, support, and elevation.

As a relatively new parent, I am still finding my "momness."  Sometimes I feel that certain people are moms since they were born, and for others it takes a lot more effort.  I feel so blessed to have my kids, but for me it is challenging to deal with amazing, strong, independent personalities, that leave me completely open, there is no where to run and hide if I don't like something.  As much as I love to deal with problems and face them head on, kids are really the only thing in life that are permanently in our face on their timetable and we have to make an effort to put the pause button on whatever we are doing, give them our undivided attention, because their needs are as important as ours.  As important it is to prioritize, in my opinion there is nothing more important at the top of our lists than our children.

I do not know how to give any less than 100%, it just flows out of me without my control.  I make an extra effort to give as many hugs, kisses, and words of love as I can.  I feel they can never feel or hear enough from their parents.

It is exhausting, but it is the most important thing I can do for them.  I feel that is what was done for me, and I am very blessed to have been brought up by my amazing parents.

Parenting is the toughest job in the world,
I am grateful for the opportunity,
Even though your kids get the benefits,
I feel that it also makes us grow, reflect, and become a better person,
Just keep breathing,
They will grow up,
No I don't think I will miss these baby years,
I will get back to you when they are adults,
I am looking forward to adult conversations and relationships with my kids,
This is funny, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/anjali-joshi/100-reasons-not-to-have-kids-that-i-discovered-after-i-had-one_b_5184178.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000037
