Live to Work, Work To Live

Which one are you?

Some people have jobs that they are good at, it is not something that they necessarily love, but it makes them a living and supports their lifestyle and fun when they are off.  Other people are doing what they love, but sometimes it is challenging to make a living employing yourself.  I feel very blessed to be doing what I love and growing everyday, today is a great example of utilizing all of my fields of expertise and experience. Thank God my kids are in school and the baby is with my husband which allows me to do what I love. When I have my night classes and events, my husband is an expert at dinner and bedtime, I am truly blessed to have found my match and support system so I can thrive and be of service to my community and beyond.

10:30am  Nutrition Class for Teenage Girls

12-4pm  Working at the office of my children's school, I do not love office work, but I love being in this
environment, seeing how creative and amazing the teachers are, and networking with parents
about my Yoga, Nutrition, or Doula Services.

6:30pm  Teaching Yoga at 24 Hour Fitness, I love being a person's first Yoga experience.

7:45pm  Networking Event for Childbirth Professionals

I was talking about an amazing evening that I went to on Saturday night, the speaker talked about the picture below, it is the quadrant of the seven habits of highly effective people.  It answers three questions,

1. What are you doing?
2. What should you be doing?
3. What do you want to be doing?

You can use this in business or in a personal goal, many of us spend too much time in the fourth quadrant getting distracted or in the third quadrant getting interrupted.  Are you in the middle of something and get a text or a phone call that is not urgent for you in that moment, but the other person gets your attention because it is urgent to them?

I love this kind of stuff, I was telling my husband that I am going to utilize it in our personal affairs as well as in our business, so we spend time efficiently, and stay present when it is important.  I am on of those people that loves to check things on my phone, but when my children are around I try my best to focus on what is Urgent and Important, and it is 99.9% the children, unless of course there is an emergency of some sort.

Let's keep the conversation going,
What are your goals,
Are you happy with your relationship, career, current situation of any sort?
I feel there is always room to grow,
and I find it fascinating to delve into myself?
It is not selfish, it is self care!
