Fall Back and SQUEEZE

Trying to get the baby to sleep, hang out with my husband, write my blog, before starting a busy week.  This weekend was completely about my family and not me, and it was fun, now I just want everybody asleep so I can have a quiet Sunday doing what I want to do.

Yesterday I spent the whole day with the kids, and had a good time, but not one moment of rest. Everyone is happy about the one extra hour of daylight savings time, but when you have kids that wake up at the crack of dawn, you cannot really enjoy it, sleep is rare.

Last minute my friend told me about her son's birthday party today and I just had to go, it was a perfect way for us to see each other, the kids to have fun, and our husbands to meet.  Sunday mornings we have a slow beginning to our day, but it all worked out and we had a great time.  Everything really does come together and work out, and the time we get there is the time we get there and everything is just fine.  My brain is what goes into overdrive as I arrange everyone's day and make sure all the pieces are in place, and that everyone is happy.

It makes me think of my wedding, I loved planning every detail, luckily I have so many creative friends that helped with so many aspects, so that day I got the best advice ever, just enjoy it, and I really did.

So right after the party this morning, I ran to get my mother in law, we were having a girls day with my daughter and meeting friends.  My brother in law and husband were going to take the boys on their bikes.  It really all happened just as it should, but running from place to place hoping that it happens as it should is what I have to figure out how to chill out about.

My mother in law got a massage and a manicure, my daughter got her first official professional manicure, and was very clear about the color she wanted.  I saw many of my friends and their daughters, and really enjoyed the female, positive, and uplifting energy, the whole theme was just accepting all women as who they are from all walks of life, all shapes and sizes, all backgrounds, listening to each other, sharing with each other, and enjoying each others company.

Once I got home everyone just did their own thing, and now I think my baby is listening as my husband is putting him to sleep.
