Makeup from yesterday's photo shoot, excited to see the pictures |
http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/273233, but when I first looked it up, it is really supposed to be Mish Mash, and is from Old English, I am always fascinated by origins of words and phrases.

The United States of America is a mix of everything, and we are allowed by law to feel, act, and speak out with our own unique voice. I linked and posted the following on Facebook today,
Thank you United States of America for welcoming my family with open arms and letting us thrive, we left the Soviet Union in 1980, my parents were so brave and they wanted us to be proud and open about or Jewish identity with no fear.
Say hello to David and Dora Breslow, two of the original settlers of Woodbine, New Jersey, a Jewish settlement founded in 1891. The entire community of Woodbine was Jewish and Yiddish-speaking.
On the Fourth of July, it's beautiful to look back and see for just how long America has been a refuge, a safe place, and a home, for so many Jews.
Thank you, America, for all you've done for the world and for the Jewish people.
So after all of these thoughts about how much I appreciate my country, I really wanted to take my kids somewhere that there was a fun day celebration. We cannot do fireworks tonight because it is our Day of Rest, and its too late anyway, and I think its kind of scary for toddlers. So we had a swimming lesson first thing in the morning, then we went to a fun splash pad, had pizza with their uncle, and then headed to the Pacific Palisades 4th of July parade, which was awesome. I am sooooo ready for Shabbat, sleeping in tomorrow :) Shabbat Shalom,
Coach Yulia
