Happy Birthday Trees

I saw this early this morning when I dropped my son off at school and told another mom that this was the sun breaking through the fog.  She was sure it was the moon, because usually we cannot see the sun, and the moon is round and white.  I was open to learning something new, and as I was driving back home, I saw it was definitely the sun as it started really shining through.

It made me think of how what we know and what we share, and even if we are sure of something, I am always open to learning a different way to understand it, and even love to be corrected and have constructive criticism.  I wonder if that other mom realized it was the sun, I am always looking at nature, I am in awe of sunsets and a full moon.  Yesterday in a private Prenatal Yoga class one of the first time moms was telling me how our brain relaxes around nature, and how it could be a good tool even during labor to get through a contraction, maybe listening to the birds.

Today is the birthday of trees on the Jewish calendar, it is celebrated by eating fruit, planting trees, and rejoicing, http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/3264/jewish/Tu-BShevat.htm.  Israel keeps planting and unlike most places keeps on gaining in its tree population.

Today I saw an amazing post from a mom passing on her wisdom from observing the world,

Dear mommy and dad please remember DON'T EVER
1- don't leave your purse on the front seat when driving where its visible
2- don't drive with unlocked door
3- don't ever leave the key in the engine with the kids in the car and come out
4- don't leave the car on and come out even a second
5- don't drive without a seat belt on for your self or the kids, once you allow it they will push for it again
6- don't scare your kids from police as a form of discipline
7- don't ever leave the child in the car as a way of punishment

Let's keep sharing and learning,
Let's enjoy and contribute to the nature around us that we need to coexist,
Happy Birthday Trees,
Coach Yulia
