Too Much Fun
There are two types of overstimulation, one type is electronic, movies, radio, electronic toys and games, even music or anything with sound. Another one is where you go, go, go all day from one activity to another, and probably the best thing is just to have one thing to do, but I live in a community where there are multiple celebrations, and I want to check them all out, and drag the kids along with me.
There was an event today in the park for moms, it was mostly vendors advertising their wares, but they did have multiple play areas, as well as musical entertainment. My daughter was not happy from the get go, but luckily after some free cupcakes, pizza, and popsicles, and a fun play area where they did what they do best, play creative games of pretend. My baby is crawling out of the noodle filled baby pool in the picture above, my daughter has two rings around her, and my big boy is constructing a noodle house to play in.
After most of the morning there, we came home, baby napped, other kids played and watched a show, I tried to nap, but baby woke up and we had to get ready for our evening party. We live in what I like to call the Jewish Downtown, Kosher restaurants, synagogues, and non stop Jewish activity 24/7. Today one of the synagogues had a big party because they were receiving a new Torah, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torah, it was so much fun, moon bounce for the kids, unlimited food, and great entertainment. Jewish people all over the world are getting to celebrate Shavuot, a holiday commemorating the Jewish people receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai. I tell you the parties never end, Tuesday night we begin, then have two days of celebration, and then Friday starts our Day of Rest celebration.
We are exhausted from all the fun,
Thank God for these problems,
Learning,
Growing,
Inspiring each other,
Dancing,
Singing,
Celebrating,
May all our kids only know these happy occasions,
Only Simchas,
Coach Yulia
