GAZA

I love to learn, to gather all the information that I can, the history, both sides of the story, and really listen to what is going on.  Someone I was talking to told me that they are tired of hearing about Gaza, and says all of the news and posts just sound the same GazaGazaGazaGazaGazaGazaGazaGaza!

I suppose that this conflict is close to my heart, and that is why I cannot get enough, and I get it, sometimes big news happens, and I tell my husband I don't want to watch world news or any news for that matter because it is always negative.  Poverty and other problems in America is a perspective, if anyone would go to other countries they would see such horrors and hopelessness.  It is easy to look away as we live paycheck to paycheck or better, have enough on our plate literally and figuratively, some have a car, some don't, most have a decent place to live, life is hard enough, right?

It's all good, please continue to live your own lives, do what feels good, and do what you believe in, and I will do the same.  Here is an amazing article on the history of Gaza, just like in all of history, no land belongs to anyone, it had inhabitants, and was conquered a million times, even in our wonderful U.S. of A.  Native American Indians were massacred, and now in other countries they are committing genocide as well, but that is not today's topic.

My mom and I had an amazing conversation about land, and how our fight is more about protecting our people, and when we got Israel not so long ago there was nothing, and now it is a bustling democracy, innovative, vibrant, and contributing to the world.  The people of Gaza had the same opportunity, but instead invested money in terror tunnels, which now I am reading that their five years of construction is taking the Israeli army 2 weeks to destroy.  Israel has the right to defend itself, and once Hamas is extinct, then a peaceful negotiation is on the table.
