Slow Motion

This morning I had a private Yoga class with a wonderful family, and one of the ladies had a headache. I used one of the techniques that I learned from www.rolandhealinghands.com, they are slow motion movements with the hands, similar to Yoga, and her headache dissipated.  It is so amazing to me that these movements are an alternative to tylenol and other medications for aches all over the body.  We will be doing workshops soon to introduce people to these movements that anybody can do.

One of the things that my friend Roland would tell me to do is go slow, that way you feel a sensation in your fingers, and it made me think of Yoga poses as well, it is so important to go slow, gentle, easy and let the body tell you where it needs to be in the moment.  Yoga is a lifestyle, the results and changes will inevitably happen, but today, just be and feel good.  I ran across this amazing video of Acro Yoga, and I love how slow they move so you can see the placement of each part of the body, and how specific, slow, and controlled it is.  I always say it is like a martial art or a dance, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=739404866122187&set=vb.167340396661973&type=2&theater.

I also ran across another couples performance that is so powerful because in some poses the woman supports the man, they are both lean, strong, and skilled,  https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1420055058135372&set=vb.1318800798260799&type=2&theater.

I hope that everyone can see those even if you don't have Facebook, it is so beautiful to see how the body is able to move.

I also just found out about the death of Robin Williams, may he rest in peace, he was brilliant.  When someone passes away, we review their life in slow motion, remembering how they were a big, fun, and memorable part of our own lives.
