Service, Sales, School of Life

I love people, I am friendly, and I cannot imagine working at a desk by myself, or in a factory with machines, computers, or specimens.  I have always enjoyed leading people in fun and interesting ventures, and I feel like I finally found not only what I am good at, but what I enjoy flows effortlessly through me.  I am good at a lot of things, organizing, office work, managing, and more.  My Bachelor of Science four year college degree is in Hospitality Management.  I grew up in Miami, there is a huge tourism industry, everything you can imagine, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships.  I decided the best way to see the world, get my housing and food taken care of, and have fun was to work on cruise ships.  For three years Norwegian Cruise Line was my home, I started at the front desk, and then was part of the Cruise Director's staff, Julie the cruise director ring a bell?  It was fun but ultimately it was SERVICE, and I decided that that wasn't the people job for me. Nobody is ever satisfied, something is always wrong, and I just don't want to be the go to person for people who are complaining.

Everybody told me I would be good at SALES because I am a people person, so I decided to sell something I believed in, health.  I got a sales position in 24 Hour Fitness a month after I moved to LA with no plan.  It wasn't for me, I didn't want to convince people that they needed health, and then in sales there is never a deal that is good enough, people always want more.  Thank God I found my amazing Yoga teacher Raghavan, http://www.raghavanyoga.net/, right after I moved to LA and began my teaching journey.  I feel everything that I teach is the SCHOOL OF LIFE.  Health, Posture, Strength, Flexibility, and Breath are essential to a happy and fulfilling life, everything else is the choice and inner passion of each individual.  I also found Herbalife after I got married and was pregnant with my second child.  I loved the Kosher shakes, the people, the training, the meetings, and the adventure.  What wasn't for me was the recruiting because I would have to talk to random people because it is a numbers game, and some of those people were not happy, had issues, and I am not a therapist.  How I usually connect with people is from my gut, so now Herbalife is an amazing part of my puzzle, and I love how my puzzle keeps growing and expanding.  I cannot imagine being completely done, growing and learning keep me young, healthy, balanced, and passionate.

Speaking of Passion, those of you who have been overwhelmed by my intense connection to Israel and need to express myself and support in spreading the truth, you can breathe freely now.  Although it is not over, Israel has completed its mission in destroying the terrorist tunnels of Hamas in Gaza and has pulled out. There is so much darkness in our world and before I chose to look the other way. I will not report on the world, but when something is close to my heart, I cannot stand idly by. I have to be the voice for people in my life who would like to be informed and for my fellow Jewish people who are fighting for their lives.

I would like to end today with a positive thought.  As I am trying to get back to my even better than before baby body, people all the time ask me if I am pregnant.  Some don't know me, some are in my community who have a baby every couple of years or less and its the norm, and some are my Yoga students who look at me as the example of health and fitness.  I am deciding to look at it this way, when they ask me if I am pregnant they are paying me a compliment because they are saying that I would never be overweight so I must be pregnant!!!!

I am deciding to laugh at everything silly, ridiculous, and inappropriate,
Husband, Kids, Parents, Friends, everything you say from now on,
I will interpret as funny and crack up,
Shabbat Shalom,
Coach Yulia
