Strive for a Meaningful Life, Not Just a Happy Life

My daughter and I started our day at a beautiful bridal shower, we are so excited for my brother in law, we got to meet so many friends and family, and get to learn more about. our future sister and aunt in law.

Then we ran to our next party, good friends had a whole Frozen theme, all my kids had a blast, and now I am home with my younger two.  My oldest had another birthday of his friend, and my husband took him.

I love celebrations and friends, and feel that it is so important to be social, make connections, and keep learning about everyone and communicating with each other.  This is what makes life meaningful, and each person has something to contribute, something unique, that nobody else would ever be able to do.  The following article was about a man that really distinguishes about having a meaningful life versus a happy life.  The following quote is so powerful, our mission, our connections, our light is so grand, it is about giving, where happiness is more selfish about taking.  So blessed that my kids are social beings and easily connect with everyone they meet.



This uniqueness and singleness which distinguishes each individual and gives a meaning to his existence has a bearing on creative work as much as it does on human love. When the impossibility of replacing a person is realized, it allows the responsibility which a man has for his existence and its continuance to appear in all its magnitude. A man who becomes conscious of the responsibility he bears toward a human being who affectionately waits for him, or to an unfinished work, will never be able to throw away his life. He knows the "why" for his existence, and will be able to bear almost any "how."

Parenthood is also about giving, that is why it is so challenging, and it is so important not to forget to give back to ourselves, recharge, re-energize, refuel, and just do what you got to do to, its different for everybody.

I am finishing my night by teaching a Yoga class, my work that I am meant to do in this world is my recharge, so grateful my family is supportive and lets me literally go and flow.
