Just got home from a fun night out with long time friends that I haven't seen in years. This time of year is so much fun, it begins now in many cultures, and it is a birthday month for me and many of my friends. It was a cool bar, http://www.theoneup.com/, with free arcade games from the 80's. A wonderful friend stayed with the kids, my baby is still awake, it's all good.
My husband just dropped me off from my birthday fun, and went to a Sukkah party tonight. This afternoon I took the kids to a really unique event in Boyle Heights, which used to be a Jewish neighborhood, it was in a garden that had a structure that was made into a Sukkah, and Aztec dancers came to perform, celebrating the culture that is currently there.
Overall a fun and productive day of cleaning and organizing in the morning, with the kids being happy to help.
