A Mistake is Only Made Once

Thanks to my father's wise words, I have never been afraid to make mistakes, it is always something to learn from.  However, a mistake is only made once, after that it is not a mistake anymore :)  Today was a day full of mistakes, but it was my first day in a new place, teaching in a completely new environment.  Because of the holiday weekend I got the day confused, I thought it was Monday's schedule, then I got the room confused, laid out most of my Yoga mats, and Thank God a woman walked into the room and asked why it was in this room and not the usual room.  Luckily my silly brain has "blonde moments' all the time, sorry if I have offended anyone with this American term, I need to find another way to describe silly brain.  I got everything set up in the right room just in time and then 23 young ladies came in with all of their energy, and it is all a learning and growing experience, they need action, not inner contemplation and self observations.  I will see how the older grades do in the next few days, but it is funny that PE is not a usual classroom type of experience, but it is also not recess, and I guess nobody, even me, knows what to expect yet.  I am open to listening to everyone's suggestions, but my goal is to make it fun as well as a learning experience about posture and health.

We have the kids in three different schools, so we are managing to figure out daily who is picking up which child, and then I usually have to run to teach my night classes, and I prefer it, my husband is so much better at putting the kids to bed, they just listen.  With me it is always a conversation, or they want a drink or food, or to go to the bathroom.  After my night class I joined my friend for the most amazing run, it felt so good in the cool breeze after a super hot and humid day for Los Angeles.

Tired but feel good after my run
Now just relaxing with my husband, stepped away to write before getting ready for bed.  Overall a good day, excited for what tomorrow may bring.  My dad always told us to keep asking questions, even if our ego wasn't stroke, even if we looked not so smart, it is better to learn, and have the answer explained, then go away not knowing.

MISTAKES ARE GOOD,
but after the first time its not a mistake anymore,
Agree or Disagree?
