In the old school Russian community plastic bags are gold, used for absolutely everything. Garbage bags are the most common, why buy bags?! So Thank God ours piled up and up and up, and honestly were taking over a large space, so I was DONE. I remember there was a plastic bag drop off in Ralphs on La Brea and 3rd, and my memory served me right, I dropped off a huge bag the size of an oven, luckily it was light, felt so good to not only get rid of it but recycle it correctly.
I took my baby today to a fun mommy and me, it is so beautiful outside, it was in the yard, my baby had a blast. Now he is sleeping, I am getting a few things done online, then I am tackling the kids closet, JOY! One of the mommies was a personal trainer, I am so excited to network and meet more health and fitness mommies in our community. I feel that we are all different, and the more of us there are, the more people will be aware, and start finding what fits them. Same with Doulas, love meeting Doulas from all walks of life, and helping each other learn and grow so we can support during labor and birth, putting the woman first, everyone else puts the baby first. Thank God I met my Doula from my sister in law, and I knew I needed someone there just for me, just to take care of me, nobody and nothing else. It helped me let go of control, and she also kept my husband calm, I felt safe just focusing on the present, managing my labor, and tuning into what I needed to get through it one contraction at a time.
Not too much going on today, and I am enjoying that, I have a class to teach later tonight, but for now enjoying mommy quiet time. Thank God for school and amazing teachers that keep my kids entertained, learning, and having fun most of the day.
