Quinoa and Kale

Are you eating these?  If you haven't heard of Quinoa or Kale, then you are in a bubble, because they are everywhere and in everything, they are delicious and super nutritious.  I was wondering what did we do without Quinoa and Kale, I know quinoa is a staple of Peru, once people starting trying it and realized it is not a carbohydrate and fills you up, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinoa, wow not only from Peru.

Kale on the other hand is the superfood of superfoods, and you can make it in soups, salads, stirfry's, you name it.  I have starting substituting it in my soups instead of cabbage, that could be super gassy.  It is so interesting to read the origins and best ways to prepare it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kale.

What did we ever do without these? They are EVERYWHERE, easy to prepare, add nutrition and flavor to any dish.  It just makes me wonder, in all my years on this planet, how did anyone live without these in their lives?

I know I am being dramatic, but it is amazing when something is everywhere, so popular, affordable, it just surprises me.  I suppose that overall our culture is more aware of how important it is to eat nutritious food and not just empty calories.  Once you start eating correctly, everything else tastes processed and has no flavor.

Ask what is in the food you are eating, teach your tastebuds the way food should taste.  Know what goes in your body.
